Gary's Story

A few years ago our family was headed to our favorite outdoor vacation spot, Red Fish Lake, in the Stanley basin in Idaho.  The night before leaving, I realized we were one bicycle short of having a bike for everyone, so I checked the local classified ads and found a college student selling a Raleigh M20 for $55.00.  I didn't know much about bicycle brands at the time, but it seemed like a good buy and I was out of time.

One of the tires was flat, but after fixing the tire I realized two things about the bike that were a revelation to me.  It shifted correctly every time and the bike was not just a medium sized, one size fits all bike,it was taller and fit my tall son very well.   That experience led me to buy another used Raleigh M60 and an Iron Horse bike, which also shifted well and were a joy to ride.

Over time, I realized it was a much more enjoyable experience to ride a high quality used bike than an in-expensive new "Walmart" bike and they could be purchased for about the same price or a little higher.  I wanted to share that experience with everyone I knew and started a process of refurbishing used bikes.  I tried to make high quality used bikes ride and look like they were new.  Over the years, I have developed a relationship with many repeat customers and referrals.  I love the feeling of having a father or mother bring their daughter or son to look at one of my bikes and their eyes light up because they look so much like a new bike.  Their parents are happy because of the price and I get to feel like Santa Claus.

My family and I love to ride bikes together on the many trails in Utah County and Park City.  Ask us about our favorite places to go or come along for a ride with us.
